About Alison Cogan

Alison is the Director of Tax Services at MRA Tax Services, LLC, helping incorporate tax planning and preparation within MRA Advisory Group’s mission to simplify financial services across generations.
A CPA with more than 30 years of public accounting experience, Alison previously worked at a Big Six public accounting firm and several northern New Jersey public accounting firms from 1996 to 2015. She opened her own CPA firm in 2005 and joined MRA Advisory Group in 2015.
Alison is a member of the NJCPA and AICPA and received her B.S. in Accounting from Seton Hall University. Outside of her work, she is the President of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education, Treasurer of the Parsippany United Methodist Church and Parsippany Education Foundation, and an active volunteer with The Seeing Eye and Kiwanis.
She earned the AICPA Personal Financial Specialist designation in January 2022 and lives in Parsippany, New Jersey, with her husband.
