The WealthBuilder Insured Portfolio (minimum investment: $50,000) is a diversified portfolio comprised of exchange traded funds (ETFs) in which clients can purchase a lifetime portfolio withdrawal guarantee by way of an individual contingent deferred annuity (the “Certificate”).
There are several levels of lifetime income options available with the WealthBuilder Insured Portfolio. The most common option is for clients between the ages of 65-74 in which a “Certificate” can be purchased to guarantee a minimum of 4.50% lifetime income from portfolio inception.
There is power in a fee that remains flat as assets grow. The annual certificate fee covers the cost to insure income for life and is calculated from the percentage of total contributions (initial plus any additional), assessed on a calendar quarterly basis. Think of it as “subscribing to a bold retirement future”. The bottom line: If the assets grow in value, the fee remains the same. That means, as a percentage of the assets, the cost to insure the retirement income could actually grow smaller.
Payout rates based on age bands and time of “Certificate” issue date.
Individual covered person payment percentages (PP):
As an example, an investment of $1,000,000 (the “coverage base”) guarantees a minimum lifetime payout of $45,000/per year for investors between the ages of 65-74. In addition, investors may increase their “coverage base” every year at the “Certificate” anniversary if the “coverage base” amount is higher than the prior year. This “coverage base” increase is subject to market performance and other factors.
See “Certificate” prospectus for fees, risks, and additional considerations.
